Dr. Robin B. Guevarra is Group Leader of the One Health Informatics Group at the National Institute of Research and Innovation (NIRI) in Riga, Latvia. His research focuses on microbial genomics, metagenomics, antimicrobial resistance, and One Health surveillance across clinical, urban, agricultural, and environmental settings.
He applies genome-resolved metagenomics and computational approaches to study microbial diversity, transmission, and antimicrobial resistance. He is also a member of the MetaSUB Consortium and serves as local coordinator for MetaSUB Latvia, contributing to urban microbiome surveillance and global efforts to characterize microbial communities in built environments.
