Aris Saoulidis

Aris holds two roles. He is a senior pharmacist based at NHS England Genomics Unit, supporting the implementation of genomics in routine care, the evaluation, implementation, and uptake of genomic tests with an impact on medicines use, upskilling the pharmacy workforce around genomics and collaborating with several national stakeholders. He is also based at the East NHS Genomic Medicine Service Alliance and Cambridge, leading pharmacy and genomics transformation projects, such as the implementation of DPYD testing for patients prescribed fluoropyrimidines, and interoperability between prescribing and genetics software. Aris is also collaborating with academics at the University of Cambridge to research new areas in pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine where he is also a guest lecturer. Finally, Aris is the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association’s Genomics Committee Education lead in developing genomics-in-pharmacy resources and a member of other pharmacogenomics expert advisory groups.
