Andrea Wutte

Andrea has led the Quality Management Department at BBMRI-ERIC since 2014, driving the implementation of European and international standards in biobanking and biomedical research. She played a key role in establishing the BBMRI-ERIC Quality Label, a flagship initiative strengthening quality and harmonisation across the biobanking landscape.

Together with her team, she develops and coordinates quality management advisory programmes, designs and delivers training initiatives, facilitates international working groups and conducts audits. She supports the implementation of sustainable quality improvement strategies across BBMRI-ERIC Member and Observer States.

A certified European Quality Manager and Lead Auditor, Andrea serves as an advisor and technical assessor for ISO 20387 accreditation, collaborating with national accreditation bodies and the European co-operation for Accreditation. She represents BBMRI-ERIC as Liaison Officer to several ISO Technical Committees and contributes, together with the RI, to the development of international standards specifically relevant to biobanking. Andrea holds a degree in biology and biochemistry from the University of Graz.
