Mikk Tooming’s research focuses on the genetic etiology of breast and ovarian cancer, with particular emphasis on the relationship between genotype and phenotype. He also investigates the prevalence of pathogenic and likely pathogenic genetic variants associated with these cancers in the Estonian population. With extensive expertise in cancer genetics, his work aims to advance the understanding of hereditary cancer and contribute to improved patient care through precision medicine.
